Mission:
To excite, educate and empower students to gain a greater understanding of numeracy, entrepreneurship, coding and social justice using the art of DJing.
Math Thru Music (MTM) teaches students the importance of numeracy using music. The program combines DJing with numeracy in this hands-on experience. No matter the choice of music, math plays a huge part and MTM connects the dots. DJs perform under immense pressure and some of that is relieved through knowing basic mathematics. MTM uses the engaging craft of DJing to build stronger numeracy skills.
